In Thurrock, you do not need to book a time slot to visit the recycling centre in a standard car. You can simply turn up during opening hours, provided you have proof that you are a resident. You MUST Have a Permit (Vans & Trailers). Permit Required: Mandatory for small vans, pickups, and cars towing trailers. Trailers: Only allowed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Trailers must be single-axle and less than 1.8m (6ft) in length. Visit Limits: Permit holders are limited to 6 visits per year.
