Important Site Rules
- RESIDENTS ONLY: For the use of Wigan Borough residents only. A photo driving licence is required as proof of address.
- Summer Hours: 08:00 to 19:45 daily (Starts last Sunday in March).
- Winter Hours (Oct-Mar): 09:00 to 17:45 daily (Starts last Sunday in October).
- Vehicle Permits: Required for vans, pick-ups, or twin-axle trailers. Apply via the Wigan Council website.
- Trailer Limit: Trailers over 3 metres long are not allowed at this specific site (Kirkless allows up to 4m).
- Pedestrian Access: Not permitted. Pedestrians cannot carry waste onto the site.
- ANPR: Automatic Number Plate Recognition and CCTV are in operation to monitor visits.
- Queuing: The site may close early if there is significant queuing traffic near closing time.
- POPs Regulations: Dedicated containers available for upholstered domestic seating (sofas, armchairs).
