Unlike the neighboring West Northamptonshire Council (which introduced a mandatory booking system in late 2025), North Northamptonshire remains open-access for residents. While there is no time-slot booking, you must have a valid e-permit for larger vehicles (Vans & Trailers).

- Summer hours (April to September) are 10:00 to 18:00 on open days.
- Winter hours (October to March) are 10:00 to 16:00 on open days.

- Permit Requirement: An e-permit is required for vans and trailers (between 0.9m and 3m in length).
- Pedestrian access is strictly prohibited for safety reasons.
- Arrival: Last entry is typically 15 minutes before the stated closing time.
